Chris Iwaniuk
Born and raised in Edmonton, AB, where he currently resides with his infinitely patient wife Shawna, and their dog Reese. A collector, an artist, and a musician with an eclectic taste from Mozart to corpse paint. Ask anyone that knows Chris on a personal level, and they'll tell you of his patience and dedication to whatever he sets his heart and mind to.
During his High School and college years, Chris spent a substantial amount of time traveling, and set roots in Japan for a brief period. This experience in particular provided Chris with a diversity benefiting his work as a tattoo artist, with a deeper understanding and appreciation of different cultures, and their art.
He began his career as a tattooist in 2002. Three years later in 2005, he began working alongside Steve Batt at Capital Tattoo, and was later asked to join Showdown Tattoo when the shop opened in 2007. With approximately eight years of tattooing experience under his belt,and specializing in large scale, custom tattoos. He's developed a strong sense of style all his own, loyal cliental, and a sense of pride he puts into every tattoo or piece of artwork he produces.
